I went to zumba after dropping everyone at school/gan. Towards the end I started having that shooting pain in my foot which I got last time I had tendentious. So I went home, showered and pulled out the ace bandage. Looks like the marathon training is going to be on hold for another week. I went to Rami Levy later and bought the entire store. After coming home, having lunch and cleaning the kitchen it was time to get Nadav. He was in a really good mood when I picked him up. We came home and ate tutim, strawberries, and then watched some tv. Then Nadav found the Fischer Price doctor kit in the attic so he was really excited to play with that until dinner. Danya and Jordy returned from their friends houses and we ate tacos for dinner. I then returned to the ENT for a follow up. He had me lie on my side and he poured hydrogen peroxide in my ear as it still hurts mildly. It foamed in my ear for 10 minutes and man was the room spinning-that really messed with my equilibrium. He also did some other fun sinus things as I have had some sort of cold or sinus infection since the last week of December. Hopefully it will help. Enough is enough! When I got home everyone was nice and asleep.
I almost forgot-here is a funny video of Nadav that I took last week but it took a long time to upload to youtube.
Every time I tried videoing Nadav he would run to the other side and yell "let's see, let's see" so he could watch himself. And since I am on the topic-he constantly asks to "watch Nadav" which means he wants to watch all videos of himself.

Eye Doctor
Everyone slept nice and late-finally! Nadav woke up just before 7. He went downstairs and I thought he was talking to Jordy however when I went downstairs he was by himself in the kitchen. He had pushed a chair up to the sink and was holding a bottle brush and reaching into the sink. Josh got the boys off to school and we let Danya sleep a little late. She went to school an hour later and I went over to Laura's to browse her music library for new running music. Any suggestions??? Then I had lunch and picked Danya up from school a little early and we headed to Beit Shemesh to go see Sharon, the eye doctor. She was so nice and squeezed us in today rather than making us wait the 3 months it takes to get an appointment. All looked fine so we are taking the wait and see approach. We headed home and picked Nadav up. Nadav and I watched Baby Einstein for a while and then Jordy returned home. Everyone ate dinner and then Jordy did his homework and Danya studied for her test and then everyone went to sleep.

No Rest
Friday Josh got everyone to school/gan while I began the rest of the laundry/cooking/going to the bakery. In the afternoon Josh took the kids to falafel which meant I got to shower without someone yelling for me from downstairs. I also got a head start on the cleaning. Danya was invited to a friends for Shabbat and Jordy wanted Moshe B. to sleep over so we broke even on kids. I dropped Danya at her friends and dropped cookies off at the Zemel's house as they just moved into the neighborhood. On my way home I saw Moshe walking to our house so I picked him up and we came home in time to light candles. We had a nice, quiet dinner just us and Robert. After dinner Danny and Laura came over with Eli who is one of Nadav's favorite people. Everyone went to sleep too late.
Shabbat morning the boys all played and Jordy and Moshe went to shul for a while. After shul we had kiddush and then went to the Stern's for lunch. Jordy stayed all afternoon playing. We went home and I tried napping however Nadav had other plans. As soon as Shabbat was over I left to join a few people at the 1 year anniversary party of Zumba in Israel which was in Tel Aviv. While I was gone Danya was attending a Hachnasat Sefer Torah which ended really late as she was just going to bed as I walked in the door at 10:50pm.

Can You Hear Me Now? Good.
This morning I got everyone out the door. After dropping the kids off I headed to the gym for a run on the treadmill. After the gym I headed to Maccabim for my hearing test. To quote the woman who did the test "Baruch Hashem(Thank G-d), your hearing is fine". She thinks I may still have fluid in my ear which may be causing the foggy hearing. Anyhow, I headed home to do laundry and cook for Shabbat. Jordy came home from school and shortly after I got a call from Nadav's gan saying that he was crying and inconsolable and I should pick him up as they thought he was sick. When I went to get him he was fine. He had taken a short nap and another kid woke him and then he was repeating something over and over again. I figured out that he was saying giraffe. He wanted an animal cracker in the giraffe shape. So I took him home and he drove me crazy the rest of the afternoon. Jordy went to chug torani after some drama to find his "couponim" as they were having a "kiosk couponim". Danya returned from art and everyone had dinner. It took a while to get Nadav to sleep. Then Jordy remembered that he needed to write a Dvar Torah and bring treats for each kid in his class so I headed out to the makolet.

Jerusalem
Nadav woke up at 5:15 this morning. At 6:20 he went downstairs and woke Danya and Jordy. Danya was not happy and reported to me that he was in her room. I got Nadav and I noticed that Jordy was up. I told him to go back to bed but he didn't want to. He said he forgot about some homework so he was going to do it now. So at 6:25am I was helping Jordy with his homework while I really would rather have been snug in my bed. Once everyone was out at school Josh and I headed out to Jerusalem. Josh bought me a gift certificate for a manicure/pedicure for Chanukah which was going to expire so I went to have that done while he went on a bike ride. When I was done we drove to a wine store that I had a gift certificate to and we got a parking spot right in front. After buying the wine we walked down to Emek Refaim and bought some lunch (take out Chinese for Josh, Village Green salad for me), picked up some Marzipan rugalach and some fried eggplant that Josh likes and we headed back to the car. We came home and walked in the door moments before Danya came home. She was in a hurry as it was 3 and she needed to be at the bus for her Bnei Akiva tiyul by 4. She gathered her items-bag, hat, water, tissues, sweatshirt etc. and headed to the makolet to get the required snacks for the trip. She then went to the buses to Jerusalem. Apparently the buses were supposed to leave at 4 exactly however later reports said that they actually left at 5:15. I picked Nadav up and came home to make muffins and dinner. Jordy returned from his friends house in tears. Another kid from his class was also there with him and this other kid was mean to Jordy and told him that if he didn't want to play basketball with them that he should just go home. Not nice. I calmed him down and then he and Nadav ate dinner. Jordy was in the shower while Nadav went to bed. I was sitting with Nadav and he was just about to fall asleep when Jordy started singing at the top of his lungs and calling for me or Josh. He was singing to the tune of a song that Nadav likes by Dudu Fischer. Nadav started cracking up and then so did I because it was pretty funny. Each time Jordy started singing again Nadav started laughing again. So no sleep for Nadav. He eventually went to sleep much later. Jordy also went to bed and I was waiting for Danya, who was supposed to be home at 8:30. Of course then there was an email saying that they weren't returning until 9:30. She finally walked in the door at 10:26-hungry. She ate pizza and went straight to bed. I'll get the rundown of the trip tomorrow.

Another Blog
This morning Nadav and I were up bright and early-as usual. I got everyone out to school in the rain. Then I went to zumba. After I showered and got my act together I went to yishpro. I was going to supersol but first I stopped at a few clothing stores to check out their end of the season sales where I bought a dress. Then I went to supersol as I had a coupon and was told that they had a new health food department that I wanted to check out. After being in the checkout line for what felt like forever I returned home. Danya went to a friends house after school and Jordy had Moshe B. over after school. Then Akiva came over. Then Segev came over. So that is 3 friends for Jordy. I picked Nadav up after gan and then made dinner. After dinner the kids played and Josh attempted getting Nadav to bed. Of course he didn't go to bed so we spent a better part of the evening getting him to bed. I made everyone lunches for school tomorrow and then attempted cleaning the kitchen.
As some of you may have noticed I started a new blog. It is called Healthy Morsel and it is about healthier, family friendly recipes and food options. Feel free to take a look, share it with your friends and comment.

Mr. Potato Head Again
Friday morning Nadav woke us at 5:30 again. Why does this child hate sleep??? At 5:45 I remembered that he was supposed to be Abba Shel Shabbat this week and we are supposed to bring a treat for 23 kids today. Of course I didn't buy anything so I got up and dressed. It took us a while to get our act together and out the door but at 7:10am he and I headed to the makolet. We found a treat and I also bought celery for the soup I was going to make. We stopped at the bakery to buy challah and the lady at the bakery gave Nadav a boreka. Nadav tasted it and I was afraid he would announce it "lo taim" or not good and toss it across the bakery like he does in my kitchen. Luckily he took a bite, looked at the bakery lady and said "zeh yummy". We walked home while he ate his boreka. Josh took everyone to school while I finished up my Shabbat prep. I was supposed to meet Suzanne for brunch but she had a change in plans so she came over in the afternoon and we caught up over coffee. It was so great seeing her, even for a short visit. We then went into pre-shabbat mode-cleaning, showers etc. Friday night we had a quiet dinner, our only guest being Robert. As we were finishing up dinner the Brodsky's came over. They joined us for dessert and then we played Settlers.
Shabbat morning Nadav woke up early again-somewhere around 5:45 or 6am. Josh let him drag him downstairs while I went back to sleep for a little bit. Eventually we were all awake. Danya and Jordy went to shul and Nadav drove me crazy until we went to shul too. After shul we had kiddush. Then Josh took the kids to the park and I slept for a half hour. Of course I woke up to screaming. I missed what happened however I know that Jordy was mad about something and took it out on Nadav. Everyone was tired and grumpy through lunch. After lunch Danya went to a friends house, Moshe came to play with Jordy and then they went to Moshe's and Nadav actually napped with me. After Shabbat was the usual clean up, get homework done, make lunches etc.
This morning Nadav slept late-ok I am not sure when he got up but he came to my bed and rather than spend the entire time climbing on me and trying to get me to go downstairs with him he went back to sleep. He woke up again at 6:45 which isn't bad. I dropped everyone at school and then went to the gym. I ran for the first time since I got since over a month ago. I was happy to see that I was able to run a 5k without trouble. 10K here I come. I came home and showered and then got a call that Suzanne was free for lunch if I could make it to Beit Shemesh. So I went and we had a nice lunch and were able to catch up a bit more. I returned as Danya was getting out of school so I drove her home as it was raining. Jordy was home with 2 friends. I made dinner while Danya did her homework and the boys played. I picked up Nadav and we came home. Everyone enjoyed their Banana Pancakes for dinner. After dinner Nadav decided he would be a human Mr. Potato Head.
After helping everyone finished their homework I took Danya to the optometrist as Danya has been having difficulty reading lately. Her vision changed minimally and they said she doesn't need new glasses.

Mr. Potato Head Glasses
This morning Nadav woke me up at 5:30 needing a diaper and pajama change. He didn't want to go back to bed. We headed downstairs at 6am where Nadav ate 2 bananas, strawberries, a bowl of Cheerios and a corn muffin. He insisted on wearing the Mr. Potato Head glasses the whole morning.
Danya wanted to make her own breakfast. She wanted eggs in a nest which apparently she had made with her friend the other day. We all got out of the house and off to school/gan.
I returned home to cook and do laundry. Jordy came home from school and I drove him to his friends house in the next neighborhood. After he came home I went to pick Nadav up from gan. I was quite surprised to see that the boy I dropped off at gan wearing a navy and yellow striped shirt and navy pants came home wearing this:
Apparently he had a diaper leak and they didn't have his extra outfit so they put him in this. Yellow pants, a purple shirt with flowers embroidered and a gray and silver v-neck cardigan sweater. Lovely. We returned home and I changed him right into his own clothes.
Jordy did his homework and headed to chug torani. Danya came home from her art chug and did her homework. Everyone ate dinner and slowly headed to bed. When I was putting Jordy into bed somehow the topic came up which weddings Jordy has been to. Jordy wanted to clarify the order of which things happen and asked "first people have a wedding and then have a baby, right?" I agreed wit this statement. Jordy then pointed out that "Uncle Danny isn't married and he doesn't have any kids. So he can just do whatever he wants". I of course started laughing because really, where does he come up with this stuff? What an interesting observation. I then read a paper that Danya is handing in to school. Finally everyone went to sleep and now it's my turn.

Pajama-less
This morning Nadav came into my bed very early-not sure exactly when- however he came in carrying his blanket sleeper and was in his diaper and undershirt. He crawled into my bed and he was freezing cold. Not sure when he took the pajamas off or why but I felt so bad for him. I cuddled up with him and he fell back asleep for a little bit. Eventually he and I headed downstairs and we did the morning routine of watching Dora the Explorer, eating 3 different things for breakfast(yogurt, Cheerios and cucumbers today) and waking Danya and Jordy. Eventually I got everyone out to school after only a few incidents. In the afternoon Jordy came home with Moshe S. from English and they wanted to eat however Moshe didn't want anything we had so we spent some time going through all the options in the house. Eventually everyone was happy and playing. Danya went to a friends house after school. I picked up Nadav and then we all hung out at home. Eventually we ate dinner and then the kids headed off to play. Nadav found a shofar and was walking around pretending he was making noise.
Josh got Nadav into bed however around a half hour later he showed up in the hallway-again with his pajamas off. Weird, not sure why he has started removing his pajamas. Eventually we got him back to bed. I went to zumba and Josh got Danya and Jordy in bed.

Cheese
On Monday I went to Zumba in the morning. Later in the morning Josh and I went to shilat to run a few errands. He went to the gardening store while I went to the health food store and to grab 3 items at Rami Levy. I spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen. Jordy went to the Balsam's in the afternoon, Danya went to Daniella's and I picked Nadav up after gan. Everyone returned home for dinner. Nadav pushed a chair to the counter and reached a container with shredded cheddar cheese. He was happily sitting on a chair eating the cheese saying "cheese" until Josh tried taking a video of him doing so. Then he only wanted to see the video that Josh was taking. We were trying to get him to show what he was doing for the camera but-well see for yourself....
After dinner everyone did their homework, made their lunches and headed to bed.
This morning I headed back to Rami Levy for my official shopping trip of the week. I came home and unloaded the groceries, prepared dinner etc. Jordy came home after school with a friend and they wanted to know if it was ok to go to the friends house and then straight to soccer. When I picked Nadav up from gan we saw Jordy walking home from soccer with 3 friends. They all wanted to come over to play for a half hour until the next play date. Danya was out all afternoon. Everyone returned to eat pizza for dinner. After we got Nadav into bed Josh and I headed across the street to pay a shiva call to a neighbor. We thought it was strange that there were no cars and all the lights were out. We knocked anyways and the daughter informed us that the mother decided last minute to sit with her Mother in another city. So that was a short outing. At 10pm we had a meeting with a guy about going green-installing solar panels and collecting electricity from the sun. He left at about midnight.

Time To Spare
Last night after returning from dinner I realized that I was on about page 80 of 300 in the book we are reading for book club. This was only problematic as we were meeting this morning at 9:30 to discuss. Luckily it was a good and fast read so I read until 1:45am last night and then picked the book back up after the kids left for school at 7:45. I finished with time to spare. I went to book club and then returned to finish cleaning up the kitchen from Shabbat and put the dishes away. Before I knew it Jordy was home from school wanting lunch and then a ride to his friends house. I then headed to Modiin to the money changer and the bank which is always a fun outing. I came back and picked Jordy up from his friends house. Jordy had requested pancakes for dinner which I had a batch of in the freezer. Nadav also requested "b'yachad"(together)-meaning he wanted "tiras"-corn and chickpeas "b'yachad". Danya also requested "b'yachad". After dinner everyone went to sleep on time as nobody had wanted to get out of bed this morning.

Shabbat
Thursday I spent most the day cooking and trying to get ahead on the Shabbat prep including laundry. I spent virtually the whole day in the kitchen. Jordy had a friend over after school and Danya went to art and then a friends house. I picked Nadav up after gan and then everyone returned home for Mac and Cheese.
Friday I finished off the Shabbat cooking and began the cleaning. Jordy went to a friends after school and Nadav and Danya were home in the afternoon. Shira Klein came for Shabbat along with her friend Shoshana. I am sure they had a wonderful Shabbat listening to the kids fighting and playing endless games of Monopoly. We had a nice dinner and then the Brodsky's and Block's came over and we all sat around chatting and noshing.
Shabbat morning Jordy went to shul and did anim zmeriot again. I missed it but I heard he did perfect. We had the Davis and Mandel families over for lunch in addition to the girls. We were a lot of people but all the kids played nicely together. Jordy went to Benny's house after lunch and then returned later with Moshe S. in tow. Danya went to Bnei Akiva and returned after Shabbat. Nadav, who woke up at 5:30am was really tired especially after playing with Keren and Matan all afternoon but it was to late to nap so he was just running around the house all crabby until Shabbat ended. Everyone had dinner and then I dropped the girls off a t the bus. I hope they had fun-Danya asked them if they would move in with us. I dropped Danya at a birthday party and then returned to sit in Nadav's room until he fell asleep. Then Josh and I scrambled to get a babysitter and then we went out to a cafe with Danny and Laura. We had a really nice time and it's always nice to go out.

Making Lunches
Today was spent mostly in the house. I did some baking to get a head start on Shabbat and also because we are going to bring coffee and cookies to the soldiers tonight. Danya went to the Gerson's after school to work on her project for English class. They are making their own chocolate for the book The Chocolate Touch. Jordy went to English and then to Moshe S. I picked Nadav up after gan. Everyone ate dinner and Josh got Nadav into bed. Danya and Jordy made their lunches. Did I mention that I started paying them a half shekel each time they make their lunches? So worth it! I got an email from Jordy's English teacher Gila saying that they are working on creative writing so I asked Jordy if he likes writing. He responded in a very sarcastic tone of voice saying "I don't like when Gila tells me I can't lean on the ping pong table". When I asked again he did say that he does like writing so don't feel bad Gila. I went to check on Nadav and thought he had gotten out of bed because I couldn't see him. Then I noticed him on the floor wedged between his bed and the rocking chair sound asleep. I took a quick picture and then got him back to bed.
I then headed to zumba. After zumba I returned home for a quick shower and then off to the soldiers with coffee and cookies. It was cold and rainy which made me want to stay home and go to sleep however it's nights like there that you have to think they really appreciate getting it.

Fork
Yesterday I got the kids out the door and then went to Zumba. After coming home for a shower I picked Lisa up and we headed to the mall. It is end of the season sales time and we wanted to check it out. We spent a lot of time strolling through the mall and found a few great deals. I came home and then headed right back out to get Danya from school. Since it was raining I also picked up Jordy and Moshe and dropped them off at home. Danya and I then headed to Modiin to buy some more school shirts. Then we went to Lisa's to pick up some hand me downs. Thanks Meria for sharing! We came home and I spent some time making part of dinner. I picked Nadav up and then a half hour later headed to Kiryat Sefer for my appointment with the ENT. He said the ear is looking like it is healing and moving in the right direction. He does want me to have a hearing test which I made an appointment for a few weeks down the line. I came home and Danya called to say she forgot she had a bnei akiva peulah. So it was just me and the boys for dinner of rice, bean and cheese burritos. Danya returned a little later and ate some dinner-which I made per her request. Nadav threw his fork in the sink and then took a chair to the sink to retrieve it and Josh and I were entertained by his yelling for his "fork".
Later the Brodsky men came over to watch the Superbowl with Josh.
Today I went to Rami Levy which is always fun. Jordy came home from school, headed to Amitai's, went to soccer, went to a friends in Kfar Oranim and came home at 6:30. Danya went to a friends, to softball and then home. Nadav didn't nap at gan and was a little crabbier than usual but at least he went to sleep nice and early. After dinner I went to a meeting to hear about Camp Amichai.
Here is a picture of Danya and her quilling for Bubs. It is hard to see the quilling well as my camera doesn't work so well but you can kind of see the duck.

Fix My Ear Already
This morning I returned to the doctor so she could check the status of my ear infection. To my dismay she said that yes, it was still majorly infected and it was time to go back to the ENT. Again, she gave me an emergent referral and again, the earliest appointment her receptionist could get was tomorrow evening. Good thing this wasn't a real emergency! I spent the afternoon doing some cooking in my attempt to get the kids to eat healthier. Jordy's friend Moshe H.(has anyone picked up that Jordy has 4 Moshe's in his class and he is related/friends with them all and I have reported play dates with Moshe B., Moshe S., Moshe N. and Moshe H.-I wonder how the teacher keeps track of them) came home with Jordy for the afternoon. Moshe's parents own the pizzeria here and when I went to get his home phone number to call his Mom and tell her he was at our house he pointed to the magnet on our fridge for the pizzeria and said here's my phone number. I thought that was funny. The boys played really nicely all afternoon. I picked Nadav up from gan and he was in a happy mood. Moshe H. headed home and Jordy went to chug torani. When he returned we had dinner- falafel burgers. After dinner Danya and Jordy earned a half shekel each by making their own lunches. Then Josh, Jordy and Nadav watched some sort of Chicago Bears Football show while I took Danya to Modiin to do a little shopping. Then she came with me to my Modiin book swap club. We came home and she went to bed and I attempted to clean the kitchen.

The Tooth Fairy Factory
Friday morning the ear pain was back with a vengeance. Josh got everyone out and I began the Friday morning laundry. We did the usual Friday cleaning, cooking and laundry dance. Then, the President of the Our Life Blog fan club, Talia, came by to drop off soup and a whole bunch of salatim that she made as she knew I was sick. So super nice of her and I know I am skipping ahead but it was all delicious and I think she should open a salatim take out store. So even though I may have thanked her a zillion times I am going to one last time publicly-Thanks Talia!!! On Friday night we had a nice quiet dinner. Danya and Jordy answered Torah questions from their study sheets for upcoming tests after we ate. Later the Brodsky's came by along with Oren and we played Settlers. A shout out to Joel who had his second Settlers victory! Well done!
Shabbat morning was our usual. Danya and Jordy went to the kids minyan and Nadav and I hung out all morning. He ate a ton for some reason-a pear, 2 string cheese sticks, 2 yogurts, cereal and bread. After shul we went to the Nathan's house for lunch. The Silton's also ate there so there were 6 adults and 15 kids(2 other kids were there as well)-12 of whom were boys. It was a fun meal. We headed home as Nadav was tired and was asking to go "chome"(did I mention that he pronounces his h's as "ch"). Of course when we got home he didn't want to go to sleep. After Shabbat Danya returned from Bnei Akiva and Jordy came back from the Nathan's. Jordy finished studying for his Torah test(he had 68 review questions!). Danya hung out and watched some TV. As I was tucking Jordy into bed we had the following conversation:
Me: Jordy, can you make sure your towel is in the bathroom as I am going to wash all the towels tonight. Also, that towel you use is kind of small, do you still want to keep using it? You got it as a present at your bris.
[the towel is a regular towel with a hood attached but it is getting kid of small-he's been using it since the day he got it and he loves it]
Jordy: No, it's not small and yes, I want to keep using it. Who gave it to me?
Me: Someone who works with Saba.
Jordy: Was it Danny?
Me: Uncle Danny?
Jordy: yes
Me: Do you think Uncle Danny works with Saba?
Jordy: Yes, he does.
Me: no, Uncle Danny doesn't work with Saba-why do you think he does?
Jordy: Yes, Uncle Danny works with Saba at the Tooth Fairy Factory.
Me: (confused and trying not to crack up but shaking from not laughing) What?
Jordy: Yeah, they work together at the tooth fairy factory- Uncle Danny gave me 5 shekel when he was here and I lost my tooth. [Jordy knows that my father always gives money for lost teeth so I guess he thinks his job is at the "tooth fairy factory"]
Me: (now laughing out loud)
Jordy: Stop laughing, it's not funny.
Me: you're right- it's not funny, I just didn't know that Uncle Danny gave you 5 shekel and that he ALSO worked at the tooth fairy factory. And No, Uncle Danny didn't give you the towel.
How is that for entertaining??? I then put the towels in the laundry.

Yom Mishpacha
First here are some of the pictures I have been telling you about. Here is Jordy's birthday cake- for some reason it keeps rotating but it says Mazel tov Jordy Ben 8 (That's congratulations Jordy 8 years old):
Here are Jordy and Nadav enjoying some leftover cake on Friday before Shabbat. Danya would have been there too but she was getting ready for Shabbat and then rushed over to Meira's for Shabbat. Jordy was saving the word "tov" for her:
On Tuesday Nadav got his hands on a red pepper and just started eating it like an apple and kept saying taim (yummy):
Yesterday I was really starting to feel better. I got up with the kids in the morning and helped get them out the door. I spent most of the morning at home resting. Danya went to the Gerson's in the afternoon. Jordy came home with Moshe S. and they played for a while. Then I picked Nadav up from gan. An hour later I took Jordy and Moshe to school where we were attending a parent/child activity in honor of Yom Mishpacha(family day) which I am guessing was on Wednesday. There was an art project, a cute game you played with your kid and then the signature of any school activity-the food buffet. We were required to bring cheese borekas but Jordy ended up with a nice healthy dinner of chocolate muffin, chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, brownie with marshmallow topping, a stack of crackers and 2 slices of cucumber. Good dinner. Here are pictures from the art project:
The cutest part was at the beginning they had the boys read a little speech. Keep in mind that it is hard for me to hear due to the clogged ears(oh, did I mention that last night my other ear started hurting???), so I thought it was just me who couldn't understand a word but then all the parents started laughing because none of the kids were on the same part:
The thing they read was cute. Something along the lines of :
Thank G-d my fathers parents met, got married and had my father. Thank G-d my Mothers parents met, got married and had my Mother. Thank G-d my Father met my Mother and they got married and I was born.
The best part about the evening was that Jordy's activity was from 5 until 6:30pm and then Danya's class had one from 6:30 until 8. That is right, I was in school for 3 hours- almost as long as the kids day of school on Fridays. Danya walked to school to meet me there and Sharon dropped Jordy off at home at 6:30. Danya's activity was similar with a few changes. It began with parent child learning. We read a few different pieces of Perki Avot about Kibbud Horim(respecting your parents) and then answered questions about what we read. Then we made the same project that Jordy's class did which was a flower pot with a flower in it.
Then we moved onto the eating part of the evening. I was actually impressed as the teachers prepared the food and it was pita, chumus, pickles, olives, peppers, wafers, baby corn- a lot less junk than Jordy's. I brought Danya home and since my pain was under control and I was feeling good I decided to go to Zumba and I am glad I did, it was a great class.
Today we all got up and about early. Josh had a computer consulting job in Modiin across from the mall and he wanted to go out to breakfast at the mall. The plan was he would drop me at the mall for an hour so I could walk around and shop at 9am. Then at 10 he would meet me and we would eat. Except when Josh came home from dropping the kids off at school he started eating breakfast out of habit. So I got to the mall at 9 and guess what? The stores don't open until 9:30. So I did what anyone else would do- I bought a coffee from a cafe and walked around looking in the windows comparing the sales and counting down until 9:30. I got to 2 stores(and bought 1 shirt) and then Josh was already at the mall. So much for shopping. We were going to eat but Josh was still full from his earlier breakfast and I wasn't really hungry so we walked around a little more, went to the grocery store and left the mall. We stopped at the butcher and then returned home. My instinct was to go to sleep as I was tired and worn out however the kitchen needed a little work and I really wanted to make a few things for Shabbat. Before I knew it I had to pick up Nadav. He had taken a nice nap at gan and was in a great mood. Laughing and telling me about the orez(rice) and kitzitza(meatballs) he ate for lunch. He really likes rice and kept talking about it. Eventually Danya and Jordy returned and everyone ate dinner. I headed back to the doctor who wanted me to follow up with her about my ear. She was happy that I wasn't in major pain anymore however she did say that the 2nd ear is infected(although not majorly-just regular ear infection) and the 1st one was still majorly infected-although not as bad as it had been. Ugh! She told me that I have to come back again in a few days. So crazy right??? I came home as Josh was about to get Nadav in bed. I put him in bed but he wanted me to sit in his room with him while he went to sleep. The problem was he was still pretty awake so it took about an hour- all of which I got to spend reading interspersed with "put your head on your pillow". I went downstairs to eat my dinner and get the laundry going. I was going to try and make something else for Shabbat but just didn't have it in me. So off to bed I go.

Unpacking
Based on the emails and phone calls I got today I know that more than the 7 registered people read this blog. Thanks everyone for your warm wishes. Today was spent in bed, reading and sleeping and taking antibiotics, pain killers and drops. All morning I was eagerly awaiting the removal of the packing in my ear as the pressure of the packing was almost unbearable. I kept imagining removing it and feeling better immediately. You can imagine how disappointed I was when I finally took it out and felt no change. No worried though, somewhere late in the afternoon the pain started fading. I still have a ton of pressure in the ear and can hardly hear out of it, but the pain is much better. Danya and Jordy went to friends houses in the afternoon as their softball and soccer chugim were canceled due to rain-yay! Josh made dinner- spaghetti with cut up chicken. Everyone ate, did homework and went to bed. Here is hoping the antibiotics keep working! I have some pictures coming for you but the camera is downstairs so hopefully I'll put them up tomorrow.
